Opportunities to make informed choices for your future.
Many students end up finishing school without an idea of what choice of career they would like to pursue. This programme is aimed to aid students in their journey and preparation for life after school by providing industry experience. The purpose of this programme is driven by our Passion for Change.
This is for students in their final years of school (Year 12 and Year 13). While this industry experience is not paid, it will give students an understanding of the real world and enable them to make the right subject choices whilst at school. This will support students on their journey into further study or work experiences that leads to a career of their choice.
Collaboration is vital. We have partnered together with forward thinking organisations who are keen to change and influence the future of these students across Aotearoa.
CreateOps & ICE have come together to design and build this programme. CreateOps is led by Edwina Mistry Founder of CreateOps. She leads initiatives for TechWomen NZ and has over 30 years’ experience in the technology industry and 20 years of them have been in education with the Manukau Institute of Technology. Nuwanthie is the CEO of ICE, an early in careers consultancy firm specialising in designing, delivering and developing schemes for organisations looking to build talent pipelines for the future. Both believe that young and aspiring individuals represent the future of the organisational environment and will be responsible for driving the seismic shift in both workplace culture and functionality.
